Skin picking disease

Disease in which deliberate attempts are made to clear up blemishes on the skin by scratching, pinching or similar manipulations.

According to the Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5), acne excoriée belongs to obsessive-compulsive disorders and not, as previously, to impulsive disorders.

Significantly more women affected.

Scratch-excised papules.

Mostly an improvement occurs only psychotherapy.
